Village Grant News
Recent grants awarded to the Village: $5,000 from America 250 (for Events Committee and mural project), $2,880 from the Ohio Arts Council (murals), $1,700 from the Miami County Foundation (LED sign), $114,000 from Revitalization (Williams Street repair), and $10,000 from EPA (wastewater plant equipment).
2026 Village Summary
Planned projects for 2026 include truck replacement, library window and landscaping work, chlorine barrel handler, SCADA water monitoring program, Village building roof replacement, peace pole banner hanging posts, the TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release) program, continued sidewalk and alley repair, street manhole and valve box covers resealed, street crack repair and sealing, landlord RITA compliance, a new Village Solicitor, Tree City annual tree planting at the cemetery (thanks to Mike Waller), a new LED information sign at the firehouse, joining the Miami County aggregation program, an updated server and new IT contract, removed ACH fees for utility bill payment, a new sewer jetter replacement, rebuilt salt spreader, new air compressor, a third plow truck, continued ordinance violation notification, and a deferred 2027 property tax collection.
Protect Your Pipes in Winter
To prevent freezing and costly bursts, drip faucets farthest from the main shutoff and cold water lines in crawl spaces, basements, garages, attics, and exterior walls when temperatures drop below 20 degrees for several hours or during power outages. Open cabinets to let warm air in and set a slow, steady drip.
Electric Aggregation Enrollment
The electric supplier is Dynegy Energy Services at a fixed rate of 9.59 cents per kWh from December 2025 meter read through December 2026 meter read. No early termination fee. Enrollment: Dynegy Energy Services (888) 682-2170. Opt-out or general questions: Bob Snavely, Palmer Energy (419) 491-1004.
Natural Gas Aggregation Enrollment
The County renewed with IGS Energy for a 24-month term at $6.82 per MCF starting November 2025 billing. No early termination fee. Enrollment: IGS Energy (877) 353-0162.
Landlord Tenant List
Landlords must turn in their tenant list by January 30 per Tax Ordinance 1095v3.
