Planning Commission

The Planning Commission consists of 3 residents and one representative from The Joint Fire District. The structure of the Commission is established by the Mayor.

Responsibilities include: making zoning recommendations to Council, approving any zoning application that is not clearly in compliance, and providing guidance to various groups as to the preferred course of development for the Village.

The Commission meets on the third Thursday of each month, provided there is something on the agenda.

Permits & Applications

The Planning Commission oversees zoning and land use in the Village. Permit applications are available for the following:

  • Chicken Permit — Required for keeping chickens on residential property.
  • Fence Permit — Required before installing any fence.
  • Building Permit — Required for new construction, additions, and major improvements.
