Village Water and Rust Mitigation
The Village proactively monitors water quality and chlorine levels. Most water mains are PVC or ductile iron, but a small amount of cast iron pipes remain and can rust. A program is underway to replace remaining cast mains, add flushing hydrants, and eliminate dead-end lines. Fire hydrants are flushed at least once a year. Residents experiencing rusty water should call 937-676-3321.
Light Up the Night Festival
Saturday, June 27, 2026. The festival will commemorate America’s 250th birthday with music, food, games, fireworks, and community fun.
Recycling and Trash with Reliable Waste Solutions
Reliable Waste Solutions is now the Village’s trash and recycling provider. Bins must be out Thursday evening (pickup follows weather and starts early). Recycle and trash are not picked up at the same time. All trash must be inside bins for regular weekly pickup.
Acceptable Recycling Items
Acceptable items include: glass bottles and jars (all colors), steel cans, aluminum cans and cups, plastic bottles, plastic tubs, plastic cups, plastic clamshell containers, paper, cartons, and cardboard.
Bulk Item Collection

Unacceptable: anything hazardous or containing Freon. Bulk collection is the second Friday of each month with trash service. Call ahead: (937) 418-7524 or schedule at rwsohio.com.
