Pleasant Hill village council heard from a resident concerned about parking safety and the placement of trashcans in front of homes.
- Mayor Brenda initiated a review of a new ordinance regulating trashcans to prevent parking issues in residential areas.
- The council will continue reviewing the trashcan ordinance language at the next meeting before taking formal action.
- A blood drive was announced for July 7 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Church of the Brethren.
- Denis Aslinger reported that the new sewer jetter was delivered and legislation to sell the old unit will be presented at the next meeting.
- The village’s dump truck did not sell at auction due to a high reserve price and will be offered again in August.
- Denis shared updates on the new investment policy to ensure village funds are managed responsibly.
- Plans were presented for an additional village employee to obtain necessary licensing for operations.
- Library storm window replacements are scheduled to be completed by the end of July.
- Crystal reported that the Joint Fire District issued permits for the “Lights Up the Night” event and prepared EMS coverage for attendees.
