Summer is here, and utility use goes up this time of year between watering lawns, filling pools, and running the AC. Here are a few easy ways to stay on top of your bills.
Save on water
- Water your lawn early morning or evening so less evaporates
- Check outdoor hoses and spigots for leaks
- Run full loads of laundry and dishes
Save on electric and gas
- Set your thermostat a few degrees higher when you are away
- Use fans to take the load off your AC
- Close blinds during the hottest part of the day
Filling a pool? Ask about the sewer credit.
Water used to fill a pool does not go into the sewer system, so you may qualify for a credit on the sewer part of your bill. To request it, visit our Water & Sewer page or reach out through our Contact page.
Set it and forget it
Higher summer bills are easier to handle on autopay. You can pay online or sign up for automatic ACH payments so you never miss a due date. Visit our Online Bill Pay page to get started.
