- Council began the first reading of Resolution 2026-05 to move forward with a wastewater digester upgrade to improve Pleasant Hill utilities infrastructure.
- The wastewater project will be managed by Access Engineering and may include grants and a 30-year interest-free loan to reduce financial impact on residents.
- Construction on the wastewater digester project is tentatively planned to begin in July 2028, with total costs still being determined.
- Council reviewed a new village website contract to ensure Pleasant Hill retains ownership of the domain name, server access, and all login credentials.
- An executive session was held to consider a potential land purchase as a long-term investment, possibly related to future utilities needs.
- A proposed 4% pay increase for village employees will be placed on a future agenda to help remain competitive with surrounding communities.
- Council agreed to update the zoning code in phases, starting with an ordinance that would automatically assign newly annexed land to R-2 zoning unless council approves a different plan.
- The new zoning strategy is intended to protect residential areas while giving Pleasant Hill village council flexibility when reviewing development proposals.
